I’m Kallie.

My engineering career pathway gave me varied experience as an individual contributor and leader. As a member of the engineering community, I have been in the role of a non-traditional college student, new hire, engineer, mentor, team lead, manager, and director. I’ve worked at companies with 5,000 engineers down to 150 engineers.

I began coaching to do my favorite part of the engineering leadership role more - the privilege of supporting the growth and success of those around me.

I am an engineering leader with a track record in steering change initiatives, fostering strong relationships, and optimizing team efficiency; I bring a wealth of varied experience in engineering to career coaching.

As an Engineering Leader, I developed structured calibrations, managed budgets, and led teams through organizational change, emphasizing intentional culture and psychological safety. With a background in creating engineering culture programs that pushed engineering to help the business succeed in the long term and creating engineering career pathways and expectations to support career growth and business interests, I know what it takes to drive knowledge sharing, quality standards, employee engagement, intentional culture across distributed geographies, and consistent expectations.

I have shared observations and discovered hidden insights with hundreds of individuals, from interns to CTOs, to help them grow, reach decisions, and overcome challenges.

  • My past careers have gravitated toward different industries: custom cabinet building, over-the-road truck driving, and software engineering.

  • I have the privilege to include dogs, geese, chickens, a tortoise, a cat, and tons of wildlife on the farm I call home.

  • I have been married for 20 years. We’re a couple of nerds that have fun adventuring and growing together.
